This paper elaborates on how an active and passive composite dual cold source air conditioning system meets the cooling demands of both liquid-cooled and air-cooled servers in artificial intelligence data center(AIDC). In series mode, compared to parallel mode, it can minimize the refrigeration capacity of compressors and maximize the utilization of natural cooling for cooling. It presents an actual engineering case of an AIDC in Gui’an area. Considering the climatic conditions of Gui’an, the overall architecture of the system is described. After calculation, the project achieves an average annual power usage effectiveness (PUE) value of approximately 1.183 0, realizing the goal of a low PUE. Meanwhile, the air conditioning system architecture of the project meets the expansion requirements of “air-liquid co-source” and offers greater flexibility for future demands, providing a reference for the design and construction of similar projects.
